Hepatobiliary Interventions
Diseases of the liver can arise from many causes. Some of these include Fatty liver disease, chronic alcohol use or infection from sources such as Hepatitis B or C. The liver looses its function and gets very hard. This results in a condition called portal hypertension which results in abnormal fluid build up and bleeding that may be fatal .Interventional radiology has a critical role in the management of liver disease.
